The Arezzo Equestrian Centre (the
Centre), represented by its owner and new manager,
held a press conference, Monday 6 October 2010, at
the Town Hall of the City of Arezzo to announce its
initiatives for the season 2010-2011.
Also present was Arezzo Mayor, Giuseppe Fanfani, who has confirmed the
town Administration.s support for the Centre .which
has given great support to the visibility of Arezzo
at an international level and to the economy of the
city. I wish that all the events organized at the
Arezzo Equestrian Centre, thanks to Ita Marzotto and
its new manager, continue to bring work to Arezzo
and drive tourism..
During the press conference a rich
programme of events and initiatives was presented,
and have already started with the Italian National
Championships for Young Horses FISE-UNIRE, which is
currently in progress and will finish on 10 October
2010 and will be followed by Toscana Tour in 2011.
It was also the occasion to
officially announce that the company Holmo s.r.l,
owned by Arezzo businessman and sporthorse breeder,
Riccardo Boricchi, has taken over all aspects of
management of the entire Arezzo Equestrian Centre.
It (the Centre) is still not as I
would like it to be . . reminded the owner of the
Centre, Ita Marzotto, .We have had golden years, the
last two years have been complicated but now we are
in a phase of complete re-organisation and change.
Thanks to the enthusiasm of Boricchi, which has
given new life to the Centre, we are ready for this
new adventure and to complete the development of the
Centre to ensure it is an international leader in
terms of the quality of the structure and sporting
facilities..

EQUESTRIAN CENTRE
The Arezzo Equestrian Centre is the
point of reference for anyone who loves horses: Ita
Marzotto had the idea and passion, and in 1992
bought the Club Ippico Aretino and over the years
she has transformed it into the Arezzo Equestrian
Centre we know today. Over 32 hectares of land,
there is 118,000 square metres of sporting
facilities, 2 Toubin and Clement sand competition
arenas, 4 working arenas, 450 permanent stables and
the crown jewel of the Centre, the famous Bocaccio
grass competition arena which is one of the best
grass arenas in the world.
NEW MANAGER . RICCARDO
BORRICHI (HOLMO s.r.l.) Riccardo Boricchi has
always had a great passion for equestrian: .I was
born in Arezzo and for years I have been immersed in
this beautiful world of horses. The Arezzo
Equestrian Centre offers sporting facilities of the
highest level and is well-known internationally. We
are working to give the Centre a new outlook and to
make it more widely known also amongst the citizens
of Arezzo. We want the Centre .to live. 365 days a
year thanks to the motivated and professional team
we have working with us..
2010 . 2011 SEASON
The objectives of Boricchi is to
propose a calendar of 8 international showjumping
competitions, around 20 national showjumping
competitions including the Italian Championships and
UNIRE Championships. In addition to showjumping
events, a pony riding school for children,
broadening the programme of equestrian therapy for
the disabled which was already started by the All
Stars group and the Agazzi institute for the
disabled, introduction of summer camps for children,
organized trekking and there are already over 40
sporthorses in agistment and training at the Centre.
The new season of the Arezzo Equestrian Centre has
started with the Italian Young Horse Championships
FISE-UNIRE where there are around 900 horses
competing over two weekends: the first week was
dedicated to 4 year old horses and the second week,
this week, dedicated to 5, 6 and 7 year old horses.
.It is a good test event for our staff. conclude
Boricchi. An ideal way to start again and bring back
the Centre to the national and international
forefront of equestrian sport..
TOSCANA TOUR 2011 . From 15
March 2011 to 15 April 2011
Toscana Tour 2011 offers a 4 week programme with
.586,000 prize money.
Two .50,000 grand prix for the Gold Tour.
12 FEI ranking classes, including qualification
classes for the European> Championships.
Every week there is a 1,20m Derby for Bronze Tour
and 1.35m Derby for Silver/Gold tours.
To demonstrate the new manager.s commitment to reviving the centre for
the benefit of the sport, the entry fee has been
discounted compared to recent years and a greater
emphasis and culture of service is a core value of
the team managing the Centre
Toscana Tour 2011 offers a wider programme to
include a schedule for Ponies and a return to
the 3 separate categories of Gold, Silver and Bronze
Tours as well as the Young Horse Tour.
There will be 3 covered
warm-up/working arenas. A special veterinary clinic
complete with physiotherapy and wellness equipment
to provide preventative therapies and treatments to
avoid the onset of common injuries.
Training course rounds will also be
organised and the Centre is also open to reserving
the working arenas, schedule permitting, for private
training or trading purposes.
