Also present was Arezzo Mayor, Giuseppe Fanfani, who has confirmed the town Administration.s support for the Centre .which has given great support to the visibility of Arezzo at an international level and to the economy of the city. I wish that all the events organized at the Arezzo Equestrian Centre, thanks to Ita Marzotto and its new manager, continue to bring work to Arezzo and drive tourism..

During the press conference a rich programme of events and initiatives was presented, and have already started with the Italian National Championships for Young Horses FISE-UNIRE, which is currently in progress and will finish on 10 October 2010 and will be followed by Toscana Tour in 2011.

It was also the occasion to officially announce that the company Holmo s.r.l, owned by Arezzo businessman and sporthorse breeder, Riccardo Boricchi, has taken over all aspects of management of the entire Arezzo Equestrian Centre.

It (the Centre) is still not as I would like it to be . . reminded the owner of the Centre, Ita Marzotto, .We have had golden years, the last two years have been complicated but now we are in a phase of complete re-organisation and change. Thanks to the enthusiasm of Boricchi, which has given new life to the Centre, we are ready for this new adventure and to complete the development of the Centre to ensure it is an international leader in terms of the quality of the structure and sporting facilities..

 BACKGROUND . AREZZO EQUESTRIAN CENTRE

The Arezzo Equestrian Centre is the point of reference for anyone who loves horses: Ita Marzotto had the idea and passion, and in 1992 bought the Club Ippico Aretino and over the years she has transformed it into the Arezzo Equestrian Centre we know today. Over 32 hectares of land, there is 118,000 square metres of sporting facilities, 2 Toubin and Clement sand competition arenas, 4 working arenas, 450 permanent stables and the crown jewel of the Centre, the famous Bocaccio grass competition arena which is one of the best grass arenas in the world.

NEW MANAGER . RICCARDO BORRICHI (HOLMO s.r.l.) Riccardo Boricchi has always had a great passion for equestrian: .I was born in Arezzo and for years I have been immersed in this beautiful world of horses. The Arezzo Equestrian Centre offers sporting facilities of the highest level and is well-known internationally. We are working to give the Centre a new outlook and to make it more widely known also amongst the citizens of Arezzo. We want the Centre .to live. 365 days a year thanks to the motivated and professional team we have working with us..

2010 . 2011 SEASON

The objectives of Boricchi is to propose a calendar of 8 international showjumping competitions, around 20 national showjumping competitions including the Italian Championships and UNIRE Championships. In addition to showjumping events, a pony riding school for children, broadening the programme of equestrian therapy for the disabled which was already started by the All Stars group and the Agazzi institute for the disabled, introduction of summer camps for children, organized trekking and there are already over 40 sporthorses in agistment and training at the Centre.

The new season of the Arezzo Equestrian Centre has started with the Italian Young Horse Championships FISE-UNIRE where there are around 900 horses competing over two weekends: the first week was dedicated to 4 year old horses and the second week, this week, dedicated to 5, 6 and 7 year old horses. .It is a good test event for our staff. conclude Boricchi. An ideal way to start again and bring back the Centre to the national and international forefront of equestrian sport..
